Bintan Trip: 3D2N Itinerary

Bintan is located in Indonesia. Similar to Batam, when it comes to quick weekend getaway this is one of the popular destinations that Singaporeans choose to spend their holidays. Since this place is also quite near to Singapore, the travel time to get here is via ferry ride which will take about 60 minutes.

Here are some of the information that I can share which might help you if you’re planning for a Bintan Trip.

Tourist Spots & Activities

1) Tourist Attractions: Here are some of the places you might want to include in your city tour – Penyengat Island, Nirwana Beach Club, Avalokitesvara Graha Temple (Guan Yin Temple), 500 Lohan Temple, Grotto Santa Maria (Santa Maria Cave), Banyan Tree Temple, Bintan Desert, Penyengat Island, White Sands Island, Mount Bintan

2) Shopping: I’m not sure if there are shopping malls nearby resorts of Bintan. Usually inside the resort there are small shops where you can buy a lot of stuffs including bikini, fashion accessories, snacks, etc.

3) Massage: When in Bintan, I find it quite expensive to have a full body massage. The price is somewhat similar to Singapore’s. Anyway if you’re really tired then Balinese massage is what I highly recommend. Most of the resorts offer this service to be performed near the beach or at the comfort of your own room.

4) Beaches: There’s quite a lot of beaches in Bintan. You may refer to the Accommodation section where I listed some of the resorts with good beaches. Ask Google for help to know more about it.

5) Sports: If you will be staying in a beach resort, there are a lot of water-sport activities that you can choose from. You need to check the webpage of your chosen hotel/resort to know more about this. There are also some air activities you can try in Bintan! Go, Google!

6) Food Trip: I love Indonesian cuisine! Here are my recommended choices for you – Satay, Mee Goreng, Rendang, Nasi Goreng, Fried Rice, Gado-Gado, Risoles, Ayam Penyet (Fried Chicken), Ayam Bakar/Panggang (Grilled Chicken), Ayam Sotong (Grilled Squid), etc. If you’re not into spicy foods, make sure to tell them “less spicy” or “not spicy”.
